I love this little collage made by I several years ago, after she had looked through a book about the artist Sonia Delaunay and was thinking about how artists find inspiration. I especially like the slightly irregular shape, and the way two pieces of card are layered together, with the overlap line still showing through the colours. yeah, kids' art is so hard to copy - I remember getting a commission once to paint a mural on an exterior church wall, and they said they wanted it to look as though a child had done it. No matter how many times I tried, each rough sketch went in the bin, I just couldn't replicate the innocence and naivité, I had to get the kids to do me some pictures because I learned that there's a whole lot more that distinguishes kids' art from adults', than it simply being "not that good" lol
